At first glance, spraying Lysol into your vagina seems misguided at best. But researcher Amy Sarch explains: “Lysol Douche was the most prevalent form of birth control back in the '20s and '30s. This was a time when birth control was illegal, so the purpose had to be hidden behind euphemism.” A mother whose children are happy at home is a mother who is not having any more kids, apparently!
