As my friend Sam tweeted this morning, Christine O'Donnell is not a witch. But she's not a senator, either. With 40 percent of the vote, O'Donnell, the Republican/Tea Party senatorial candidate from Delaware, lost to Democrat Chris Coons, who swept 56 percent of the vote by the latest calculations. O'Donnell's past statement that masturbation is a sin, her opinion that abortion should be illegal except to save the life of the mother (in which case the woman's family should be able to choose whose life it would like to save) and her "I am not a witch" commercial gained nationwide notoriety.
