Last year, MTV put out a casting call for “proud Persian-Americans who rule Hollywood nightlife and own Beverly Hills.” It's unclear whether the network decided to pass on the idea, or if there's a competitor series on the block. Because last month, Bravo and Ryan Seacrest announced that they were teaming up for a series called "Shahs of Sunset" that would follow flamboyant children of Iranian expats. “The series will offer rich characters and relatable storylines about everyday life — love, work, friendship and family — steeped in a diverse culture,” a statement read. "Armed with chromed-out cars, logo-ridden purses and designer outfits, they've got it and they're not afraid to flaunt it.” [LA Times]
