I cried buckets at the season five finale of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," which ended with Buffy swan-diving to her death, sacrificing herself instead of her sister to close the portal threatening to suck the world into a different dimension. The episode ended with a shot of Buffy's tombstone. Luckily, she as brought back to life the next season.
