We hear them referenced in passing and see their edgy covers shining from mag shop windows. But most of us don't pay nearly enough attention to the handful of awesome fashion magazines that exist far outside the realm of mainstream big boys Vogue, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar. But while big mags certainly corner the market, they're more about lowercase "f" fashion than Fashion. That's why their covers generally feature celebs looking much like they always do instead of models looking insanely awesome and unusual.
So in the interest of diversifying our fashion intake, here are the six fashion mags you should totally check out if you haven't already.
First up is V. When they do celeb covers, they do them right. No same-old Kate Winslet in a Grecian gown. Instead, Gwen Stefani looks like the coolest, strangest version of herself. We like it.
