Outfit Notes

It's raining, it's pouring, and it's gonna be raining and pouring until Saturday which is annnnnoying. I know there are other parts of the country that need the rain -- can we pretty please arrange to send a few of our rain clouds there via priority mail? Anyone have a hookup at the Post Office or with Mother Nature? No? Anyway, rainy day dressing is really not my jam, but these Hunter wellies -- which I got last year -- kind of take my outfits up a notch, as I think they are actually really cute. One thing I always pay attention to when I'm getting dressed is proportion, making sure that my clothes/boots/etc. are not cutting up my body in awkward ways. I like that this shirt hits at the hip; a shorter silhouette, in combination with the knee-high boots, might have made me appear short-waisted. Or something.
