Artist Susan Stockwell makes intricate, gorgeous dresses out of paper goods, like maps and sheets of currency. The dresses mimic colonial styles, and reflect her interests in ecology, geo-politics, mapping, trade and global commerce. It's this confluence of ideas that give her work an extra charge.
