"My freshman roommate was a girl I knew from high school. Everyone we knew thought I was nuts to agree to live with her because she was a loud-mouthed a**hole, but I was shy and thought she might help me meet people. Anyway, I would try and keep our room neat, but the minute she would come in every day, she would dump her crap on the floor and make a huge mess, never caring that I had spent time tidying up.

I would attempt to go to bed at a decent hour if I had an early morning class, but she would come in late, TURN THE LIGHTS ON, and watch reruns of "Law & Order" while I was trying to sleep. She completely took advantage of the fact that I was shy and not good at standing up for myself (back then, anyway). But the worst thing she ever did was she took my journal and then read it out loud to the guy I had a crush on. She was terrrrrrible. Now she is a lawyer."
