"I have intense claustrophobia — but it manifests especially when it comes to airplane bathrooms. I was locked in one when I was 5 and didn't use one again until I was 17. And I happened to live in Asia and then Europe as a child and made at least two trans-Pacific/trans-Atlantic flights a year to/from the Midwest, so those were long flights to not go to the bathroom. Even now, I really have to psych myself up to use an airplane lavatory."
