What can I say? Hourglass is killing it with the primers. This one is aimed towards drier or mature skin, but anyone can use it provided it's applied with a light hand. No. 28 Primer Serum is incredibly hydrating, so much so that I've used it (on my combination skin) directly after cleansing and toning, skipping my usual serum or moisturizing step entirely. It makes your face feel amazing, and the ingredients are pretty amazing, too — the "28" in the name refers to the key ingredients, which include 14 essential oils (lavender, geranium, rose geranium, vanilla, clove, orange peel, amyris, lemon peel, petitgrain, eucalyptus, rosemary leaf, bois de rose, cedar leaf, and ylang ylang), 10 plant oils ((jojoba, rose hips seed, evening primrose, hazelnut, borage seed, kukui nut, sweet almond, green tea, olive, and cherry pit), and 4 vitamins (A, B5, C, and E). It doesn't just sound like it's good for skin; it actually is. At $65 for a full size and $22 for a .33 travel size, it isn't cheap, but it is awesome, and a good deal more affordable than many skincare products that tout the same benefits. [$65, Sephora]
