A Field Guide To Meaningful Rubber Bracelets

The Cause: Preventing lyme disease.
The Backstory: Lyme disease is spread through ticks. Hikers and camper might forget to check for ticks if they were not wearing a reminder bracelet such as this one. So there you go.
Aesthetic Appeal: Low. No offense, but lime green and the word "ticks" are two things that are rarely included in a stylish ensemble.
Clarity of Message: High. It says "Check for ticks" on one side and "Prevent lyme disease" on the other--it doesn't get much clearer than that. I suppose I could mark them down for not including two other tick-borne diseases, human anaplasmosis and babesiosis, but all those letters probably wouldn't fit on the bracelet so I'll give them a pass.
Who Already Has One: Park rangers, outdoor enthusiasts, and probably a mega hipster somewhere who is wearing it ironically.
