Winona’s Dad Says: You must have the ability to create, control, and conserve heat.  It’s good to know at least three ways to start a fire (and I do not mean three matches).  Butane-powered camp stoves are a good option for a GOOD bag because butane canisters store for a long time and are safer than gas or kerosene.  Stoves are also more discrete than a wood fire, and since it is a known fact that the chorus of “Kumbaya” enrages zombies, why take the chance? An important stop-gap heating item are the various types of hermetically sealed hot packs available. They generally work by a chemical reaction upon opening and exposure to air. They are cheap, light, compact, and long-lasting.
