Halloween Inspiration Boards: Reality TV Stars
Allison, The Computer Duster Huffer, From "Intervention"
You've seen one meth head, you've seen 'em all. Ditto for cokeheads, dope fiends, and alcoholics. That's why A&E's "Intervention" can get a little stale. Thankfully, there are occasionally people like Allison on the show to remind us, "Wait, you can get addicted to that?" Allison appeared a few seasons ago, but she's kind of gone down in history as the show's most memorable addict because of her intense addiction to huffing computer duster which she buys in bulk from Staples. Allison is possibly best known for saying in a singsong-y voice, high on the dust, "I'm walking on sunnnnnshiiiiiiine!" And so am I, every time I watch this episode. (I don't mean to downplay or make light of the seriousness of Allison's addiction -- I am very glad to hear she is in recovery and doing well.) In a sea of Snookis, Allison makes for the perfect unique reality TV-inspired Halloween costume. To transform into Allison, you'll need this stuff:
1. Oval-framed glasses, $3.95, Star Costumes
2. Oversized sweatshirt, $14.80, Amazon
3. Computer Duster, $59.99 for 6 ("huff" on one, carry the rest around in a Staples bag), Staples
4. Wig with bangs, $33.99, Amazon
