On the right is a sample of the fabrics that Roxanne and CND founder Jan Arnold created the nail look around. The base of the nail was coated with Dark Ruby, a vixen-ish dark blood red shade, and Shimmers in Copper, Jade and Ice Blue were painted on top. Then they hand-painted Black Jack over the metallics to form the half-moons--"They're almost like an evil eye," said Jan--and coated the nail adhesives with topcoat-I-am-now-obsessed-with Super Matte, which lends an "almost rubberized finish," Roxanne told us.
