New mom Hilary Duff has been sporting a seriously chic straight hairstyle lately. Here's how to get it for yourself:
1. Separate dry hair into sections by gathering the top layers into a hairclip on top of your head. Spray lower layer with a heat protective spray (try Herbal Essences Set Me Up Heat Protection Spray, $4).
2. Run a wide-tooth comb through hair to detangle, and then straighten 2-inch sections with a flat iron, starting at the roots and slowly moving the iron down to the ends.
3. When you're done with the bottom layer of hair, spray with flexible hold hair spray (try Garnier Fructis Anti-Humidity Hairspray, $5).
4. Release the hair you clipped up on your head and repeat steps 2 and 3. (Depending on the thickness of you hair, you might need to do this in a few different sections so as not to overload the flat iron). Just make sure to pay special attention to the top layer of hair, which should be the straightest and sleekest of all.
