ADVERBS

Adverbs are words that modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs and tell us how (manner), when (time), where (place), how much (degree), and why (cause). In the top tweet, Courtney tells us that not only is her popsicle dripping, but how it is doing so (irresistibly, of course). In the bottom tweet, she seems to want to use “wondrous” as an adverb to tell us how her Victoria’s Secret panties also function as bikini bottoms; unfortunately, by forgetting to add “-ly,” the word wondrous is still just an adjective. Sad face.
