The Look: One of the big looks for the Fall was half brown or burgundy nails, even color blocked side by side. For Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. line, Color Club polish took it higher and created a nail that looks like a delicious glass of red wine.

While this look looks best on super short nails that have no whites, you can cheat if you have long nails and use a nude base.
But long or short, don’t forget your base coat! It protects the nail and helps your mani last longer.
The Know How: If you’re bold like this look, then you can freehand this half full design with the brush in the bottle, using a horizontal stroke to even off the top.
Or, if you’re clever, simply cut up a mailing label and place it on your nail to mark the spot you want to polish. Then, paint away with your burgundy.
When the polish is dry, peel of the tape and finish the look with a top coat.
