The Must Haves: To create this sleek and modern look, you’ll need Essie polishes in Chinchilly, Blanc and Licorice.
The Know How: You don’t need any special brushes or accoutrement. The basic idea behind this brush technique is not about thin strokes. All you have to do is slide over a little with each color. No color needs to coat the whole nail, it’s more like 15 percent white, 15 percent grey, 70 percent black.
So, after you apply a base coat, stroke on a coat of white towards one side. Don’t worry about making it super perfect, just go for it! Then, leaving a sliver of white, stroke on a line of the grey. Then, leaving a sliver of grey, finish of the rest of your nail with black polish. Seal with a top coat and your mission to the moon is complete!
