The Look: This eggplant fantasy was created by superstar manicurist Deborah Lippmann for the Badgley Mischka runway show at New York Fashion Week. A similar shade was sent down the runway at Charlotte Ronson, so you know, deep purple is also going to be major for nails come fall.
The Must Haves: To get this look you’ll need Deborah Lippmann’s golden Nefertiti and a purple so deep, it’s take your nails to the Dark Side Of The Moon.
The Know How: This is the only scenario where you really only need just the tip! The golden French tip look is slighter than the French manicure. So, you actually can use the brush in the bottle and just brush it along the edge. Or, if your hands like to shake it, you can use a round sticky back label. Apply it a couple centimeters off the tip of your nail, then gold polish away! Just be sure your purple coats are completely dry first.
