First up, then, is the blackface. Why? French Vogue is like American Vogue's much cooler cousin; they don't need to be doing gimmicky things like painting white models in blackface. That ploy for media attention is so done at this point that it can't really even be taken as a politically charged statement. It's just silly and awkward.
