Madonna has some Hebrew script tattooed on her right shoulder which says, "lamed," "alef," and "vav," which are the different names for God written in the Kabbalah. Apparently, the names are meant to give strength of mind, presence of faith, and the will to subdue the ego. When it was first displayed, most people assumed it was Hebrew gibberish. It seems funny to get Hebrew tattoos when there's that whole no-tattoos-in-a-Jewish-cemetery thing. [Hebrew Tattoos]
