Every year when the holidays roll around, I find myself completely unprepared decor-wise. Sure, I cut down my own tree (the trees for sale in NYC are ridiculously priced), throw some ornaments on it and pull out the nine-dollar Target stockings I glitter-penned names on to, but there’s just something so … JV about it all. I’m all for kitschy holiday decor—what other time of year is overdoing the tacky so appropriate?—but this year I want to go for a bit more understated and cl-cl-classy look.
