habitually chic pomanders
Every year when the holidays roll around, I find myself completely unprepared decor-wise. Sure, I cut down my own tree (the trees for sale in NYC are ridiculously priced), throw some ornaments on it and pull out the nine-dollar Target stockings I glitter-penned names on to, but there's just something so ... JV about it all. I'm all for kitschy holiday decor—what other time of year is overdoing the tacky so appropriate?—but this year I want to go for a bit more understated and cl-cl-classy look. Everyone needs a little decorating inspiration, right? I found a few great ideas from great bloggers out there. First up, above, is a Habitually Chic decor tradition: Pomanders. They're clove-studded oranges, or in this case clementines, that fill the house with a great scent and look pretty displayed with greenery and pine cones.
