Every year when the holidays roll around, I find myself completely unprepared decor-wise. Sure, I cut down my own tree (the trees for sale in NYC are ridiculously priced), throw some ornaments on it and pull out the nine-dollar Target stockings I glitter-penned names on to, but there's just something so ... JV about it all. I'm all for kitschy holiday decor—what other time of year is overdoing the tacky so appropriate?—but this year I want to go for a bit more understated and cl-cl-classy look.
