Tattoo artist Kim Lavarello was diagnosed along with her twin sister with breast cancer. She had a double mastectomy, but wanted to cover up her scars. So she enlisted friend and tattoo artist Vyvyn Lazonga to create a beautiful piece for her. Said Lazonga of her mastectomy tattoo work, There are more women who have breast cancer and they want to make themselves look beautiful and I think it really helps with their self esteem," Vyvyn says. "It helps them to have a different view of their body, a different image. One that they can be proud of."
