Look #2: Work Professional

Problem Piece: I wore this neon yellow button down in the spring, but now that winter's here, I have no idea what to do with it.

Outfit Details: Madewell vintage rocker jeans; J. Crew button down, cardigan and skinny belt; Frye clog heels; geode necklace from Urban Outfitters.

Stylist's Note: Doesn't Ami look like a demure librarian? This look is so sexy. I love it! The dark denim flares are a great contrast to the neon yellow in the blouse. I wanted to play up the seriousness of a button down by having Ami button up all the way and tuck it in. Then, I added the skinny belt for some structure in the mid-section. The olive green cardigan tones down the brightness of the shirt and adds another layer of warmth. Finally, I accessorized with statement necklace that added even more drama to to the neckline.
