Look #1: Work Casual

Problem Piece: My roommate gave me this denim button down from American Eagle. I really like it, but can't figure out what to wear it with. Even I know denim on denim is a sin.

Outfit Details: Gap flares; Comptoir des Contonniers booties; Ali Ro tank; Madewell scarf; American Eagle denim button down; urban outfitters earrings.

Stylist's Notes: Ami's right. Denim on denim is not the way to go here. I chose these grey pants to pair with the chambray shirt because they are both neutrals. When you're working with cool colors (denim and grey are both cool colors), I always try to balance out the outfit with warm tones. I picked the carmel booties for that and the coral top for a pop of color, which is refreshing to the eye. It's perfect for a casual, yet still chic, day at the office. Or at least at The Frisky office.
