Gabourey Sidibe has her hands full, trying to convince strangers that she is nothing like the abused and illiterate young woman she portrayed in "Precious," even though she's so obviously a confident, articulate and downright flamboyant person in real life. Of her new role in society, Gabby says, “I get that people see me as a role model. That can sometimes be a little weird. I’m not perfect. I certainly stumble. It’s a little scary. I wouldn’t advise it. I’ve got a fan site, and a young woman wrote, 'You inspire me to be a better person.' It touches me. I’m not sure how I’ve done that. I haven’t done anything that isn’t selfish." If you don't believe she's her own person, check out last week's "SNL," which she guest-hosted. It's pretty brilliant. [The Wrap]
