Helloooooo, desert island! French and unreasonably expensive, like every single other thing I must have,  I would be a greasy mess undeserving of love and friendship without the holy grail HD Microfinish Powder. Dusted over the t-zone or entire face with a small kabuki brush, it mattifies without being obviously "matte," as so many powders tend to be. Before I got into this stuff I used the Smashbox Photo Finish powder, and while they have the same look and feel, they are so different. It just gives you this, like, soft-focus look that I obviously am struggling to describe, so you'll just have to try it for yourself. [$32, Sephora]
