The Hope Diamond ain't the only cursed jewel out there! The Delhi Purple sapphire was discovered hidden away a London museum, with a note attached about its curse. Though it was big, beautiful and clearly worth some cash, when author Edward Heron-Allen owned it, he actually through it into a canal to get rid of it. But it was eventually returned to him when a drudger found it and recognized its owner. After years of bestowing bad luck on everyone who came near it, Heron-Allen finally sent it to a London museum for safekeeping, instructing that no one should touch the stone until three years after his death.
