Fran Drescher

Fran Drescher wrote a memoir Cancer Shmancer about her horrible ordeal with uterine cancer. In it, she describes freezing her eggs—well, actually, her entire ovaries. "We had to do a radical hysterectomy. I said I wanted a plastic surgeon to sew me up, and I wanted to freeze my ovaries, so I could harvest the eggs and have a biological child through a surrogate. Thinking, always thinking! It’s very early medicine and it’s not commonly practiced. They have had isolated success.
