Makeup artist Tom Pecheux, who masterminded this look, described the fresh, contoured skin and soft navy liner as "very French." And it is: it's subtle, classic, and strikingly minimalist with a touch of that quirky je ne sais quoi. All you need is a dark blue liner — Pecheux used MAC Technakohl Liner in Auto-de-blu — or, for an even softer look, a similarly-hued shadow used with a small liner brush. Pecheux was adamant in insisting that the elongated ends not flip up into a wing to avoid any retro connotations; keep the lines straight rather than sweeping upward. Try: MAC Eyeshadow in Plumage, $15.
