Lanvin Beauty
This is an exotic look that must be applied carefully to ensure it doesn't come across as clownish. Translating more extravagant beauty looks from the runway isn't always easy, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. As executed by CoverGirl artist Pat McGrath, the look embraces imperfections. In fact, the purpose of the look, as dictated by Lanvin's Alber Elbaz, was to appear as if these "bad girls" had done it themselves. The squared-off eyeliner look is all about experimentation, but don't stray too far upward or outward from the eye. Keep the line simple and geometric (then smudge!) by using CoverGirl SmokyShadowBlast Eye Shadow in Onyx Smoke ($8.49, drugstore.com). Finish the look with spider lashes once again, preferably with LashBlast Fusion mascara in Very Black, $8.99 at drugstore.com. Done correctly, and with a touch of carelessness, this look is darkly pretty and unbelievably easy to pull off.Related to: beauty, make up tips, runway
