2013: The Year In Books We Couldn’t Put Down
The Love Affairs Of Nathaniel P. by Adelle Waldman
Amelia: All you need to know is The Love Affairs Of Nathaniel P. will forever be on my list of books to loan to annoyingly restless thirtysomething dudes who always have one eye peeled for something better. Because they will see themselves in its titular character and it will make them think.
Ami: I know this book is going to be on everyone's list. It's actually not one of the "best" books I've read, but it's memorable because it's such a specific and dead on profile of a literary type dude living in modern-day Brooklyn. I think I've probably dated Nathaniel P. five times over -- or at least, I felt like I had while I was reading the book. [Amazon]
