The notoriously difficult Vivien Leigh won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance as Scarlet O'Hara in "Gone With the Wind," in 1940. Shortly afterwards she divorced her husband, the lawyer Herbert Leigh Holman following a protracted affair with fellow actor Laurence Olivier.
