Hearing all the reasons why Fifty Shades is good/bad for women
The book blew up and spanking was dubbed “mainstream” and then there was that Katie Roiphe piece in Newsweek that people got all peeved about because she implied that feminists don’t get why they like to be submissive. This led to ensuing theories from everyone in the universe about why women do/don’t want to be dominated and what that means for feminism/the world.
HOLD THE PHONE. I only have one question: Because Fifty Shades is a New York Times best seller, does that mean it accurately represents the sexual desires and preferences of most women? I say no.
