The Curse: Jeffrey Dampier’s in-laws are worse than yours. Dampier won $20 million in the Illinois Lottery in 1986 and immediately started showering his family and friends with cars, houses, vacations, and other gifts I wouldn’t be able to afford, even if I sold all of my plasma. Dampier’s greedy sister-in-law Victoria Jackson was not satisfied. On July 26, 2005, she and her boyfriend Nathaniel kidnapped Dampier and shot him, killing him instantly. They’re both behind bars.
