Ezra had a severe stutter from an early age and a teacher got him into singing opera as a way to help break him of his speech impediment. When he was six years old, he performed in the U.S. premiere of Philip Glass’s contemporary opera White Raven.He was so good at it, in fact, that he sang with the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus from the ages of 9 to 11.
