Mean Girls
Lindsay Lohan’s character, Cady, is marked as a “regulation hottie” even before the bronzer, flippy skirts and slow motion hallway shot. All I am saying is, dudes would have still wanted to take her the movies or Starbucks or whatever teens do these days.
But the makeover in "Mean Girls" is one that’s not really for the popular boy. It’s for the other girls, who truly hold the power in high school politics. Her transformation aligns her with the most powerful girls in the school. This one as far as cultural messages go, rings kinda true. I’m counting this as much more realistic, and dare I say more feminist? Frisky Photos
