This is what John Mayer was wearing the evening I met him during my freshman year of college. I remember because he was the first man I saw wearing a hoodie with ears, and I actually haven't seen any since. Anyways, my friend and I saw John, went up to say "hi," but he saw us approaching and ran into a nearby club informing the bouncer not to let us in before dashing inside. Mind you, this meeting happened prior to all the public image meltdowns that inspired this slideshow. But as the girl who obsessively listened to "Room for Squares" throughout high school, I'm pretty sure this is where my disappointment began. Sigh.
