When Aaron Spelling died in 2006, Candy Spelling did not call daughter Tori—Tori heard through a friend's email. This set off a public battle between the two women. Last year, Candy wrote an open letter to Tori on her website. Addressed to, "MIDDLE-AGED REALITY SHOW STARS (LIKE MY DAUGHTER)," the note continues,"A big party wasn't how I envisioned meeting my granddaughter for the first time; but, hey, this is Hollywood, and my grandchildren have become reality show props, too." Yowch. Last year, the two finally reconciled. They even spent Mother's Day together last weekend. [People]
