Michelle Trachtenberg Could Have Intoxicated Edward In “Twilight”

Attention Twihards! Be honest ... could you imagine anyone other than Kristen Stewart playing Bella Swan in the "Twilight" series? Well, there was once a time when producers weren't sure who they would cast, and actress Michelle Trachtenberg claims the role could have been hers. Catherine Hardwicke, who directed the first "Twilight" film, was apparently interested in possibly casting Michelle, who she knew from almost (so many close calls with this one!) hiring her for the movie "Thirteen." Apparently Hardwicke thought Trachtenberg would be a good fit for the quiet, vaguely sullen future vampire lover.

"There was definitely interest here and there because there's only so few pale girls in Hollywood," Trachtenberg joked. Perhaps unfortunately for her -- oh, who are we kidding, not getting casted was at the very least unfortunate for her bank account -- "scheduling" got in the way. [The Fab Life]
