Faux Reality Show Competitor
In a recent NYMag essay entitled "How Reality TV Is Like Dating In Your Twenties," author Soo Youn references competing " in a faux episode of 'MasterChef' in the show’s Los Angeles studio."
First of all, "MasterChef" is my very favorite cooking competition show. I have a major crush on Gordon Ramsay and would basically die to have the chance to cook for him to tell me that my food tasted like shit on the bottom of his shoe.
I know that this reality show testing thing is a real gig because I had a friend who had a friend who was a tester for "The Apprentice." Allegedly, she would try out the challenges before the contestants to see if they were do-able. So, essentially, you get all of the glory of being a reality show contestant with none of the embarrassment. Obviously, I need to be a tester for "ANTM" and "RuPaul's Drag Race." I don't care! I'll smize, I'll beat my face! Someone please tell me how to get this job! [NYMag]Related to: dream jobs, jobs, weird news
