Mayim Bialik, who totally inspired me to make a skirt of neck ties when she starred in "Blossom," got her Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA in 2008. She did her dissertation on Prader-Willi syndrome. She is now appearing on "The Big Bang Theory," the laugh-out-loud comedy series about a clique of four socially inept physicists at Caltech University. Mayim gets to put her degree to work, adjusting lines for her character, Amy Farrah Fowler, who is a physicist.
