My favorite domestic despot, Martha Stewart, lost her chow puppy, Ghengis Khan, to a propane explosion at a kennel last year. Seventeen dogs died when a propane delivery tank ignited. At the time of the fire, the driver managed to throw one terrier over the fence to safety, but, unfortunately, Khan was not so lucky. Ghengis Khan was Martha's previous chow Paw Paw's grandson and at just 7 weeks old, Martha lovingly called Khan "very cute and square" and had said he would be "conquering his new territory in my home soon, with great charm and prowess." Having actually pet Paw Paw once, I can confirm that he must have been very square and cute, indeed. [Fox News]
