Catherine hails from Canton, OH, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. (If you ever visit that fine city, you should try a waffle sundae at Milk & Honey.) She went to journalism school at Northwestern and interned at a fraternity magazine during college, but she didn’t learn any of its secrets, unfortunately. She also spent a few months working at newspapers in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa. Then, she gathered up some courage, moved to New York and started working at Jane, where she stayed until the magazine closed. Some interesting facts about Catherine: She loves purple, doesn’t mind going to movies and concerts by herself if she can’t find anyone to go with her, and is an expert chai tea drinker.
