What It’s Like to Be Asexual

Being ace is more common than you think!

Defining asexuality is extremely difficult. In it’s most base form, it refers to anyone who lacks sexual attraction to others. Of course, this does not include those who choose to be celibate or have a medical condition. But being asexual, or “ace”, can also include those in grey areas, such as those who can experience sexual attraction to someone only after a close emotional bond has been established.

Each ace has their own definition of what the term means to them personally. If an asexual person (who are thought to comprise 1 to 4% of the population) decides to share their sexual identity with someone, they are often inundated with a barrage of questions. Over on Reddit, asexuals answered various questions about their lives for people wanting to understand more about how they identify.

Here’s what they had to say!
