Theory: Whitney Port Is Both Of Rachel Zoe’s Assistants In Disguise

Am I the only one who can’t tell the assistants on “The Rachel Zoe Project” apart? I thought these gals were the same person until I heard Rachel whining both the names “Jordan” and “Ashley.” True, Ashley Avignone‘s hair is a little darker than Jordan’s. But the women have eerily similar facial features and must shop out of the same Zoe-approved closet. In fact, I swear I’ve seen them somewhere before … as Whitney Port of “The City.” They’ve all got the same long blonde hair, the same pillowy lips, and the same “I spend a lot of time grooming my eyebrows” demeanor. Must be fashion-bot uniform. Keep reading »

Quotable: Talbot Dishes On His “True Blood” Sex Scene With Eric

“I went back to my trailer and I concentrated. I did some acting exercises. I was playing the archetype of a lover, so I put on a sexy, slow song and almost did like a belly dance … Many people told me, ‘Oh, just close your eyes and think of him as a woman.’ But no, because that is a totally different energy … I had to open myself to be able to actually be attracted to him, like, really attracted to him … I’m glad I did it, because every time you face your fears you move forward. But my mother will get the DVD without that scene.”

—Theo Alexander, who plays Talbot on “True Blood,” describes how he got ready for his big sex scene with Alexander Skarsgard‘s Eric. We would not require any preparation. [People] Keep reading »

Pink’s “Please Don’t Leave Me” Video Probably Makes Sense To Pink And Carey Hart

With a title like “Please Don’t Leave Me,” you’d think the video would be about that part of the breakup when you’d give both your pinky toes not to get dumped. But no, Pink took the midget-on-a-playground route. Love the silent film look and the cameo by her real-life boo, Carey Hart; confused by … everything else. Points for originality, I guess? First Look: “The Romantics,” Starring Katie Holmes, Anna Paquin & Josh Duhamel

A few years ago, Katie Holmes was showing such acting promise — critics loved her in “Pieces of April,” though her wooden showing in “Batman Begins” didn’t win her any new fans. Still, before marrying Tom Cruise and having baby Suri, Holmes was transitioning her success on the small screen (on “Dawson’s Creek”) into major roles on the big screen. Then she dropped out of the next “Batman” — at Cruise’s behest — starred alongside Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton in the stinker “Mad Money,” and tried her hand at Broadway to mixed reviews. So when I heard she would be starring in the movie adaptation of the book The Romantics alongside Anna Paquin, Josh Duhamel, Elijah Wood, Malin Ackerman, and Candace Bergen, well, I got kinda psyched that Holmes might getting back on the right track. By the looks of the preview, I might be right — it looks fantastic. Gawker suggests this could be Holmes’ “Rachel Getting Married,” though they doubt it will make critics and audiences take her seriously as an actress, like the latter did for Anne Hathaway. What do you think — will you be seeing “The Romantics”? [Gawker] Keep reading »
