Fran Drescher Has Remained Besties With Her Gay Ex-Husband

“He had already been living a gay life away from me after we divorced, and he said, ‘I don’t want you to be shocked. I’m dating men.’ … During our marriage he had told me he might be bisexual, but he wanted to stay married … By the time he told me, I had survived uterine cancer. Nothing could shake me … It’s great that we had the ability and the wisdom to reinvent our relationship. All those years weren’t for nothing. We’re very tight. We’re best friends.”

Fran Drescher on her relationship with her her now gay ex-husband, Marc Jacobson. I could not approve of this more. After 21 years of marriage her husband came out and her reaction is inspiring. More marriages should end so well. Also, I love that her new sitcom, “Happily Divorced,” is based on her experience. [People] Keep reading »

A Peek Inside Spelling Manor

It is a big day in Spelling Land. We’ll start with the good news. After three years on the market, Spelling Manor—”Charlie’s Angels” and “Beverly Hills, 90210” producer Aaron Spelling’s home which daughter Tori Spelling grew up frolicking in—has finally sold. No word on what the final sale price was, but Candy Spelling had listed it at $150 million, making it the most expensive abode in the United States. So what makes Spelling Manor so special?

Well, to start, the French chateau style home is 57,000 square feet. It has 14 bedrooms and 27 bathrooms. Keep reading »

Denise Richards Promises Her Memoir Won’t Smear Charlie Sheen

“I get into the good stuff about my marriage because people have only gotten the rotten stuff. There was a beautiful love story between us … I went through a lot and I get asked a lot of questions about that time in my life so I figured that I would share my story and, hopefully, anyone that is dealing with challenges will know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We had one of the worst divorces so if we get into a good place, that’s great.”

Denise Richards shares with reporters what they can expect in her memoir, The Real Girl Next Door, which will be released in late July. Apparently, anyone expecting a smear of Charlie Sheen a la their divorce trial will be sorely disappointed. As will anyone expecting Shakespearean-level writing. [NY Daily News] Keep reading »

Olivia Wilde Cuddles With Her “Only Boyfriend”

Over the weekend, Olivia Wilde tweeted this photo of herself cuddling with her dog, alongside the caption, “Ok I know I’m not supposed to tweet sexy photos (damn you Wiener (sic)!) but here is me and my (only!) boyfriend in bed.” Way to kill two birds with one stone, Olivia: (1) deflecting rumors that you’re dating Bradley Cooper and Justin Timberlake and (2) making us all say a collective, “awwwww.” [People] Keep reading »

Quickies: Angelina Jolie Goes Sans Fards For Louis Vuitton & Taylor Momsen Flashes Her Boobs Again

  • Angelina Jolie’s first print ad for Louis Vuitton features the actress with no makeup (sans fards!!!) and wearing her own clothes. Because Louis Vuitton is so relatable. [Dlisted]
  • Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen’s ex and mother of his two young daughters, is apparently writing a tell-all about their marriage and divorce. I suppose I would be willing to put down my copy of War & Peace in order to make time to read it. [Celeb Dirty Laundry]
  • Some fans of HBO’s nerdy incest- and violence-filled “Game of Thrones” are threatening to stop watching the show after last night’s shocking episode. Meanwhile, I am threatening to stop watching the show if the blonde sister and brother don’t have a celebratory screw during next week’s finale. Spoiler alert at the link, FYI. [EW]

Tracy Morgan Apologizes Again, Speaks Out In Favor Of Gay Marriage

tracy morgan photo

“Of all the sicknesses, there is probably none more abusive than homophobia. My heart is committed to giving everyone the same rights that I deserve for myself. I don’t care if you love the same sex as long as you have the ability to love someone I am deeply sorry for the comments I made. What I am most sad about is the comments I made about kids and bullying. … I believe everyone deserves the right to be happy and marry who they want too; gay, white, black, male or female. Let me know where the rally’s at Russ. I’m there!”

Tracy Morgan, who caught major flack late last week for “joking” during a stand-up appearance that he would kill his son if he came out as gay, apologizes again for his actions in an interview with Russell Simmons at Global Grind. Morgan also seems interested in making amends with the gay community by not only speaking out in favor of gay marriage (and the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell), but lending his support at rallies and other activist events. Personally, I hope Morgan’s apology is accepted, that he is taken up on his offer to work with gay rights causes, and that he actually follows through. Tina Fey said that the Tracy Morgan who went on that homophobic rant is not the Tracy Morgan she knows and I, for one, would like him to have the opportunity to prove it.
