The new Entertainment Weekly is on newsstands today, and it features the stars of “Iron Man 2.” There’s Robert Downey Jr., of course, along with Scarlett Johansson and Mickey Rourke. But wait a second, isn’t Gwyneth Paltrow in that flick, too? According to this morning’s New York Post, Gwyneth was intentionally snubbed for the cover because “rightly or wrongly, the editors feel any cover with Paltrow is newsstand suicide.” Cold diss! So many stars going nude, so little time. Following in the footsteps of Mary-Louise Parker, Bar Rafaeli, Miranda Kerr, and just about everyone else with aureole in Hollywood, Marilyn Manson’s on/off girlfriend showed a little nip in this photoshoot for I.D. She also dons a pair of hooker boots that would make Miley Cyrus totes jealous. [Fashion Copious] Keep reading »

Chris Brown—you know, the guy who got his wrist slapped for beating the crap out of Rihanna earlier this year — just released a video on his You Tube page where he apologizes for “the incident,” as he calls it.
He makes lots of references to his mom and his spiritual teachers and how he grew up in a home with domestic violence. Sorry, but it’s still too little, too late, for me. What about you? Keep reading »
Some people applaud the triple threat, the complete entertainer who dances, sings, and acts (to some extent). But Nia Long makes a great argument to the contrary, and she goes after Beyonce in the process. Nia told Pride magazine that singers should sing and rappers should rap, and casting should reflect talent, not box office-draw. “I didn’t see ‘Obsessed,’ so I can’t comment, but it’s just not about how talented you are anymore. It’s about, ‘How much box-office revenue will this person generate,’” the actress said. “When you see certain people — we won’t name names — they just don’t have the skill, and no one in their team has said, ‘You need acting classes.’” Nia does, however, commend Jamie Foxx for being able to sing and hone his acting craft. Padma Lakshmi, the hot foodie we’ve come to love on “Top Chef,” is making the leap into a sitcom. Peacock and Universal Media Studios are creating a half-hour show, tentatively titled “Single Serving,” specifically for Lakshmi. It’ll follow her in the culinary world, and sounds a little bit like Courtney Cox’s character on Friends, maybe? Although she’s best known for playing host for the chef competition on Bravo, Lakshmi has dabbled in acting before. She’s had a role in “The Ten Commandments,” an ABC miniseries, as well as appearances in the full-length features “The Mistress of Spices,” “Boom” and “Glitter.” Oh, and who can forget her amazing performance in a Carl’s Jr ad? What do you think? Are glad Padma is branching out, or do you think she should get back in the kitchen? Keep reading »
