Quote Of The Day: Leona Lewis Talks About Being Attacked

“I’m from Hackney, so I’m hard. I’m not going to let something like that bother me There was always some kind of craziness going on in my neighborhood … It’s horrible, no matter who you are, to be physically attacked by someone, but I’m not letting it worry me. I know it was an isolated incident. It’s just a shame it happened at all. I’m now trying to put it in the past and get over it. I’m a positive person and I try to look at the good side of everything.”

– Leona Lewis in an exclusive interview with The Sun discusses being attacked at a book signing earlier this year Keep reading »

Levi Johnston’s Manager Fails, While The Impregnator Keeps On Keeping On

As he approaches his 16th minute of fame, Levi “The Impregnator” Johnston is getting more and more erratic. Sure, he has had some successes lately. His Playgirl shoot went well and apparently involved a sexy hockey stick in a tribute to hockey moms. Yes, he was just honored with a Fleshbot Award for best mainstream-to-porn crossover. But he’s already planning to star in a movie, which hasn’t been optioned yet, based on a memoir he hasn’t written yet, for which he doesn’t have a publisher. And his super bootleg manager/bodyguard Tank Jones isn’t doing him any favors, besides hooking him up with his brother who trained Johnston for his epic photo shoot. An item in Page Six today revealed that, after the Fleshbot Awards, Jones asked nightclub M2 to pay Levi $3,000 for a visit, and they politely declined. Jones then offered up the boy wonder for $1,800. The club guffawed and said they would give him “a table with a round of soft drinks.” [NY DailyNews, NY Post] Keep reading »

15 Freaky Facts About Octomom

Man, I think Nadya Suleman is really mentally ill. I mean, really mentally ill. I have no idea why her 14 children are still living in her house. After reading all about the Suleman kids in a forthcoming New York Times Magazine article, I feel fine saying her fetishistic breeding of children, plus plopping said children in front of video crews, constitutes child abuse. Yep, child abuse.

But she isn’t the only person we should be upset with; so many others are enabling what Octomom is doing with her kids. From the doctors who put the in-vitro eggs into Suleman to the film crew to the people who buy gossip mags about her kids — they are all contributing to this insane fetishism. The poor kids are the ones who’re suffering!

After the jump, 15 things I learned from the Times article on Octomom so you, too, can lose hope for our culture if this is what constitutes “parenting” these days. Keep reading »

Russell Brand Wears Something Other Than Meggings

We thought meggings were the only bottoms Russell Brand owned, but, fortunately, he also owns gym shorts. A man has to keep his physique tight if he’s going to wear tights as pants. [London, 11/13/09] Keep reading »

Egyptologist Zahi Hawass Bad-Mouths Beyonce, Calls Her “Stupid Person”

Egyptologist Zahi Hawass is known for his outbursts. He reportedly speaks in Arabic while attending dinner events and other social gatherings so he can insult non-Egyptians, who he assumes don’t understand his language. And well-known celebrities aren’t off-limits. Earlier this week, Beyonce toured the Giza pyramids with Hawass, who reportedly became annoyed with her attitude because she didn’t show the pyramids the respect he thinks they deserve. Nicole Kidman’s Muffin Tops

Sure, her husband Keith Urban is stoked, but how much cleavage is too much, even when a red carpet is involved? Nicole Kidman looked stunning at the CMAs, of course, but those poor girls look like they’re struggling for survival. [Nashville, 11/11/09] Keep reading »

Kate Moss’s Motto Is A Pro-Anorexia Mantra

Kate Moss recently told WWD that one of her mantras in life that has helped her achieve success is “nothing tastes as good as thin feels.” A totally weird and disturbing quote on its own, I’m slightly surprised the fashion daily (and the Huffington Post, which picked up the story) didn’t know or point out that the saying is also a motto expunged by pro-anorexia groups on the internet. Seriously, look here, here, and here. Considering Kate’s image has long served as “thinspiration” for girls suffering from eating disorders, it’s disturbing to hear her validating the mantra, especially since I can’t see how anyone actually could find it to be inspiring in a healthy way. And guess what? Plenty of things taste better than feeling thin. Like the burrito I am stuffing in my pie hole right now. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

(Another) Quote Of The Day: Omarion Disses Bisexuals, Kanye West

“No disrespect, but no Amber Rose for me. Everybody has their past. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not judgmental at all. But I do like a certain amount of class.”

Omarion responds to rumors that he secretly married a bisexual stripper, like Kanye’s GF. But just so we’re clear, by “class” Omarion means “no” to bisexuality, but “yes” to pants sagged so low you can see his undies and butt crack.

Creepy Jerkface Tries To Extort Cindy Crawford

It sure seems like extortion is the new black. Today’s target: Cindy Crawford and her family. No, no—don’t jump to any Letterman-like conclusions—Cindy didn’t do anything wrong at all. Over the summer, her nanny played a game of “cops and robbers” with her then 7-year-old daughter, Kaia, and took a photo of Kaia in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, gagged and tied to a chair. The nanny had intended to tape the photo, along with a note that read, “the baby sitter went crazy and tied everyone up and they need your help!” to the front door as a joke. (Um, would this be funny? Not so much.) But instead, Edis Kayalar (above, right), a German fellow she had met at a bar a few months before, found the photo and stole Cindy’s phone number off the nanny’s cell phone. He called her and said that he wanted to return the photo because the fact that the girl was “in revealing clothing, bound to a chair and gagged” supposedly “bothered” him because he was a “good person.” Keep reading »
